Sonic pavilion named after the cacophony of superimposed voices.

Perspective of DIN

The Demagogue of the Inaudible Network (DIN) is an architectural orator that converts the noise and chatter of the social web from something read but never actually heard, to something heard and no longer seen. A typological and visual mashup of pulpit, megaphone, theatre, and organ, DIN embeds an array of audio loudspeakers in a vaulting, ornamental canopy of clear polycarbonate pipes which act as a diaphragmatic amplifier for the loudspeaker output. The speakers play the sound of Tweets read aloud utilizing eight digital voices from well-known natural-language speech applications. Virtual voices for the invisible city.
